The Certified Thermal Exposure Coach training is a professional certification in the safe and effective coaching of heat and cold exposure environments. It goes beyond the science — teaching you to use thermal environments as active tools for nervous system regulation, state shifting, and somatic transformation.

What Makes This Different

There are cold plunge workshops. There are sauna courses. There are wellness certifications that mention thermal exposure as a module alongside a dozen other things.

This is none of those.

It is built inside a somatic coaching framework. Most thermal certifications teach you what heat and cold do to the body. This one teaches you how to coach inside them. Every protocol, every session structure, every piece of language in this course is designed around one outcome — helping your client shift states consciously, not just survive the temperature.

It works with the nervous system, not just the body. Thermal exposure is one of the fastest ways to make the autonomic nervous system visible. Within seconds, the body responds — and that response becomes the coaching material. You learn to read it, work with it, and use it to build your client's capacity to regulate, recover and choose their state.

It takes the yin and the yang seriously. Heat and cold are not the same tool used at different temperatures. They create fundamentally opposite nervous system states — one activating and expanding, one contracting and clarifying. This course teaches you to use both with intention, individually and in contrast, and to understand what each environment calls for in a client and in a coach.

It does not skip safety to get to the experience. Trauma-informed screening, absolute and relative contraindications, emergency protocols, afterdrop management, facility standards, supervision ratios, scope of practice — this is a professional certification. The somatic depth only works because the safety architecture is solid underneath it.

It trains the coach's nervous system, not just their knowledge. Co-regulation is a mechanism, not a metaphor. What your nervous system is doing during a session affects your client's. This course addresses that directly — because most certifications don't.

It creates practitioners, not enthusiasts. You graduate with a qualification, a clinical framework, a screening system, a protocol library, and a supervised practicum behind you. You are ready to hold this work professionally from day one.
